Right at 8 p.m. on the evening of June 16th, Rochelle Park FD was requested to 79 Parkway for a report of smoke coming from a house. As Chiefs arrived with smoke showing from the second floor, a working fire was transmitted bringing companies from Maywood, Saddle Brook and Hackensack to the scene. Crew from Engine 1 arrived and quickly stretched a hose line to the second floor, while Truck 1 began ventilation. A quick response by RPFD had the fire knocked down in approximately 20 minutes. Additional companies standing by at fire headquarters came from Lodi, Paramus and Elmwood Park.
