VERSHIRE, VT. — May 17th — Vershire Fire and Rescue gave troops invaluable practical experience in a controlled setting by taking part in a live-fire training exercise with nearby Chelsea firemen. The building used for the training had undergone the necessary permission and destruction procedures. Working in realistic environments, firefighters conducted fire assault, search operations, ventilation, and incident coordination.
Additionally, the exercise improved communication on the fireground and increased the agencies' mutual aid connections. Live-fire training continues to be a crucial component of firefighter development, enabling crews to enhance safety procedures, acquire new abilities, and stay prepared for future emergency responses around the region.
