TOPSHAM, VT — May 15th — Firefighter Andrew Cross of the Morrill Volunteer Fire Department in Maine passed away while performing his duties, leaving the emergency services community in mourning. Following the tragedy, departments from Maine, Vermont, and nearby states showed support for Cross's friends, family, and fellow firemen. The death served as a reminder of the dangers firefighters encounter while providing community service.
