Branford Firefighters Support Special Olympics Torch Run

Members of the Branford Fire Department participated in the police Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Connecticut on June 6th alongside local police enforcement.


According to officials, the annual Torch Run carries the "Flame of Hope" to the Summer Games while promoting awareness of and support for Special Olympics competitors. As part of the long-standing custom, firefighters took part alongside volunteers, law enforcement officers, and community supporters.


Members of the department expressed their pride in supporting their public safety partners and advancing Special Olympics' mission.
