Barre Town Fire Department Responds to 25 Calls in May

According to the department's monthly activity report, the Barre Town Fire Department handled 25 service requests in May 2026.


Five fire and carbon monoxide alarm investigations, four EMS helps, three building fires, three complaints of downed trees on power lines, two car wrecks, one rescue, one unlawful burn, and one odor investigation were among the events, according to officials. Additionally, the agency dealt with two instances when no emergency was found and three calls that were canceled while they were being responded to.


In addition to emergency responses, three department members attended the Twin State Fire School, successfully completing their courses and bringing new skills back to the community. Officials also reminded residents about the department’s annual Father’s Day Chicken Barbecue scheduled for June 21st and encouraged those interested in serving their community to consider joining the department.
