WOODBURY, Vt. — June 4th — A new Freightliner 1250/3000 E-One tanker was just delivered to the Woodbury Volunteer Fire Department, expanding its inventory of emergency response vehicles. With its 3,000-gallon water tank and 1,250-gallon-per-minute pump, the device gives firefighters a reliable mobile water supply in an emergency. Tankers are particularly useful in rural areas where water needs to be hauled to incident scenes and hydrants may be few.

The increase will support responses to brush fires, structural fires, and mutual aid across the region. According to department officials, the new equipment improves firefighters' water supply options and fortifies their operational skills. It is anticipated that the tanker will play a significant role in upcoming training exercises and emergency operations.
