WARREN, Vt. — May 27th — As part of a series of exercises intended to improve fireground operations, members of the Warren Volunteer Fire Department took part in a training session centered on drafting and flowing water. Firefighters practiced protecting water sources and providing equipment with the water required to put out fires. Additionally, crews focused on controlling water flow through departmental equipment and running pumps.
One of the most crucial elements in fighting fires is having a steady supply of water, particularly in places where hydrants might not be readily available. Department representatives pointed out that in order to guarantee effective operation, contemporary apparatus systems are complicated and necessitate frequent practical training. In addition to reinforcing the skills required to ensure safe and efficient emergency response throughout the Warren community, the program helped members gain confidence with equipment.
