Kitten Rescued from Roof Void by Pooler Fire-Rescue

Pooler, GA - Pooler Fire-Rescue responded to a service call on S. Rogers, where crews discovered a kitten trapped in a confined void space between the ceiling and roof of a building.


Firefighters used specialized search cameras to locate the animal within the tight space. Once identified, crews carefully cut an access point in the roof and entered the narrow void, approximately 18 inches in height, to safely reach and remove the kitten.


After the rescue, the roof was temporarily secured with plywood and a tarp until permanent repairs can be completed.
