Pooler, GA - Pooler Fire-Rescue responded to a reported fire in a wooded area off Ryan’s Way that was threatening a nearby structure.

Crews arrived to find a fire that had escaped from an unattended burn barrel, spreading to a fence line and surrounding brush. Firefighters quickly deployed hose lines, confining and extinguishing the fire before it could extend further.

The area was thoroughly overhauled to eliminate any remaining hotspots before units cleared the scene.
