Quick Attack Stops Attic Fire Before It Spreads

Baldwin, GA - Baldwin County Fire Rescue responded to a reported residential structure fire, where crews arrived to find smoke showing from the roofline of a single-family home.
Firefighters quickly deployed a 1¾-inch attack line and advanced into the attic, locating and extinguishing a fire above a bathroom before it could extend further.
Fortunately, no one was home at the time and no injuries were reported.
The fire was determined to be accidental, originating from a bathroom light fixture. Thanks to a prompt 911 call and rapid response by crews, the fire was contained to the attic, preventing more significant damage to the home.
