GUILFORD, Conn. — May 19th — The Guilford Fire Department received recognition for its response to several cardiac arrest situations, which led to the full recovery of three residents. The department's 390 Church Street-based firefighters and paramedics were recognized for their quick response, cutting-edge medical treatment, and well-coordinated collaboration during the crises.

Positive cardiac arrest results frequently depend on early CPR, defibrillation, and efficient coordination between dispatchers, EMS personnel, and hospital staff, according to department officials. Successful patient care during critical situations is also influenced by ongoing medical education and readiness exercises. The acknowledgement brought attention to the vital role EMS providers still play in the Guilford community and its environs.
