On the evening of May 21st, River Edge Fire Company's 1 and 2 held simultaneous training drills. At Company 1, Lt. Jim Carrol, center, conducted a session on electrical breakers and the importance of securing utilities properly. Firefighter Michael Schlossberg went over riding in the officer's position. Inside the firehouse, past Chief Dick Berry and Lt. Tim Carroll covered "how to read smoke." At Company 2, a vehicle extrication drill, led by Captain Sanders, Lt. Seth Hanauer and Lt. Ben Silver, was conducted. Close to 40 members were in attendance for training at the two fire companies, according to Chief of Department Robert Schlossberg.
