Quick knock down at Rutherford attic fire

Early afternoon on May 24th around 1:30pm, Rutherford companies were dispatched to 194 Belford Ave. on a report of smoke from a residence. Chief Riser arrived and confirmed smoke showing from the attic if a dwelling. Engine 2 arrived and stretched hand lines and were assisted by Engine Co. 4 and quickly knocked the fire which was confined to the attic. Mutual aid assisting on scene and in stand by came from East Rutherford, Lyndhurst, Wallington and North Arlington,
