TITUSVILLE, PA — May 17th — Through hazmat upgrades and workshops at the Pennsylvania State Fire Academy, members of the Department Titusville PA Firefighters IAFF Local 3409 continued their advanced training. Along with members of the Oil City Fire Department and the City of Meadville Fire Department, firefighters N. Hosier, C. Mallory, and S. Hosier participated in the four-day, forty-hour Engine Academy 1 training in April. Lt. Brown, Lt. Nikolaison, FF Gordon, and FF Hartshorne all finished the training this month.
In order to improve operational preparedness and teamwork, the course concentrated on advanced hose line operations, water mapping, and live fire burns.
