The Champlain Fire District and Niagara Hose Company hosted their yearly banquet on May 16th to honor members for their commitment to the department.

The Chief's Award went to Brian and Blake Chevalier, and Natasha Nevius was chosen Auxiliary Person of the Year, according to officials. Ron Hewson won Fireman of the Year as well. Hewson was recognized for his decades of service and ongoing efforts to support firefighter safety at emergency scenes and during traffic operations. He is currently the Fire Police Captain.
