The Lanesborough Fire Department held training sessions on hydrant, hose stream, and pump operations on May 14.
According to officials, the practical exercise gave firemen more practice using water supplies and equipment. The department also emphasized the value of training and operational expertise with the statement, "A good firefighter knows how, an educated firefighter knows why."
