CRABTREE, Pa. — May 7th — At Arnold Palmer Regional Airport, members of the Crabtree Fire Department took part in the annual disaster drill. During the simulation, Engine 34, which responded with a crew of five firefighters, was tasked with supporting mass decontamination procedures through water supply operations. In the large-scale training scenario, firefighters also helped simulated passengers through decontamination stations.

Fire departments, emergency medical services, law enforcement, airport employees, and emergency management officials from all throughout the area participated in the simulation. Every three years, extensive airport disaster drills are carried out to assess coordination, communication, and emergency response protocols amid fictitious mass casualty situations.
