Engine 43 of the Franklin Fire Company was dispatched from the training center to Box 7-1 in Fayetteville at around 8 p.m. on April 14th in response to reports of black smoke emanating from a Burger King.

When crews arrived, they discovered a rooftop charbroiler exhaust system fire. Officials said the fire did not extend into the building. While suppression crews managed to contain the situation, Engine 43 assigned a Rapid Intervention Team to Side A.

Before the issue was cleared, firefighters worked on the area for around an hour.
