Hackensack, NJ - The City of Hackensack Fire Department’s Second Platoon conducted an extrication training drill at Fire Headquarters, utilizing the side yard to simulate real-world vehicle rescue scenarios.


During the session, members rotated through multiple evolutions, sharpening their proficiency in vehicle stabilization, patient access, and tool deployment.


Firefighters made full use of the equipment carried on Rescue 2, reinforcing familiarity with hydraulic tools and coordinated rescue techniques.


The training emphasized teamwork, efficiency, and precision—key elements in successful extrication operations—ensuring crews remain prepared for complex emergency responses.
