Brick Fire Department Recognizes International Firefighters Day

BRICK TOWNSHIP, N.J. — May 4th — Along with other departments throughout the world, the Department Brick Township Fire Department/Fire Safety Bureau observed International Firefighters Day to celebrate firefighters for their dedication to community protection. Every year on May 4th, people commemorate firemen who have lost their lives while performing their duties. In addition to assisting with fire prevention and community education initiatives, firefighters respond on a daily basis to structural fires, auto accidents, medical crises, rescues, and public service calls.


Across the nation, volunteers and professionals continue to be crucial to emergency response efforts. The department expressed gratitude to firemen both domestically and internationally for their commitment, professionalism, and ongoing support of the public and emergency services community.
