On the morning of April 30th, North Hudson firefighters, along with family and friends, assembled at the 43rd Street firehouse in Union City for Captain Eugene D'Alessandro's retirement walkout.  The street was closed off as firefighters lined up in front of Squad 1's quarters to congratulate Captain D'Alessandro's (fourth from left) on his 26-plus years of service, starting with the former Union City Fire Department.
