Beach Haven, NJ — April 16th — Ocean County Sheriff 911 personnel were honored during National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week by the Beach Haven Volunteer Fire Company, located at 300 Amber St., Beach Haven, NJ, USA, 08008. The week, which has been observed every year since 1981, honors dispatchers who handle emergency calls and plan EMS, fire, and police responses. For situations like fires, rescues, and medical emergencies, Ocean County Sheriff's Office staff members offer ongoing communication support.

As a thank you, members of the 18 Mile Emergency Services Organization and Beach Haven Volunteer Fire Company served dinners to commemorate the event. In order to enable safe and well-coordinated emergency response operations, dispatchers continue to be a vital conduit between callers and field units.
