Arnold, PA — April 27th — A 2012 Ferrara Fire Apparatus pumper with an HME Ahrens-Fox chassis was delivered to the Arnold Volunteer Engine Co. #2. The unit expands the department's response fleet with its 1,000-gallon water tank and 1,750-gpm pump. With improved layout and ergonomics, the engine is anticipated to enhance operations and enable crews to respond to incidents more effectively.
Before putting the equipment into service, members will outfit it and finish the necessary driver and pump training over the course of the following few weeks. As is typical for municipal fire services, financing support from the City of Arnold and fire relief funds made it possible to obtain the equipment without charging people extra.
