Esopus, NY — April 25th — The leadership for the 2026–2027 term was sworn in during the Esopus Fire Department's annual officer installation banquet. Following elections earlier in the month, line and administrative officers, as well as Chief Mike Camuto and the command staff, were established. The Chief's Award went to Matt White, while the Darlene Cafaldo Memorial Devotion Award went to Bernadette Koonz.

Members were also honored for their years of service, with milestones ranging from 5 to 50 years, such as 45 years for Ernie Osterhoudt and 50 years for Doug Lewis. As a sign of continued community support, local politicians attended the ceremony with the department. The volunteer fire service relies heavily on annual installations to ensure ongoing operational readiness, strengthen leadership structure, and recognize service.
