Esopus, NY — April 19th — Fire service educators from all across the Northeast and Canada gathered in Ulster County for a Fire & Life Safety Educators' Training Series session hosted by the Esopus Fire Department. Strengthening public education efforts was the main goal of the program, which was offered by the New York State Association of Fire Chiefs and the New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services Office of Fire Prevention and Control.

Community risk reduction, educational initiatives, and outreach strategies to prevent fires and lower injuries were all discussed in the training. In order to promote consistency in safety messaging and exchange best practices, attendees took part in networking opportunities and classroom sessions. These kinds of programs support long-term public safety initiatives and assist departments in developing successful preventative methods.
