HOLLIS, ME — April 12th — In Hollis, members of Limington Fire & EMS, located at 425 Sokokis Ave., Limington, underwent live fire training with an emphasis on synchronized fireground activities and inside operations. In order to replicate actual structure fire circumstances, crews rotated through controlled burn scenarios. Hose line advancement, primary search, ventilation coordination, and fire behavior observation were among the training evolutions. Every development was overseen by instructors to guarantee safety and reinforce appropriate methods.

The National Fire Protection Association's guidelines, such as NFPA 1403, which describes safety procedures for training fires, are followed in live fire training. These exercises enhance teamwork and communication while giving firefighters experience working in hot conditions with limited visibility. Opportunities for regional training like this improve coordination between neighboring departments and promote readiness.
