E Rutherford, NJ - Members of the East Rutherford Fire Department recently took part in a large-scale training exercise hosted by New Jersey Transit, simulating a complex train fire with multiple patients requiring triage, treatment, and coordinated rescue.
Working alongside the Meadowlands Fire Department, second alarm companies, and partner agencies, crews focused on enhancing incident command, communication, and life-saving operations under realistic, high-pressure conditions.
Exercises like this play a vital role in preparing responders for major events at MetLife Stadium, ensuring a coordinated and effective response to potential large-scale emergencies.
Through continued collaboration and hands-on training, all agencies involved remain committed to protecting the community with readiness, efficiency, and professionalism.
