Hollis Crews Conduct Pump Panel Training

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

Hollis Center, ME — April 17th — The on-duty crew from Department Hollis Fire Rescue, 34 Town Farm Rd, used favorable weather to complete additional pump panel training at the station. Core activities, such as setting intake and outflow pressures, creating a water supply, and maintaining a steady flow under fireground simulation, were evaluated by staff. To strengthen expertise with departmental protocols and equipment controls, crews alternated between driver and operator duties.

Troubleshooting typical problems like pressure variations and hydrant supply maintenance were also covered in the training. For fireground operations to provide dependable water delivery for both handlines and master streams, regular pump drills are still essential. These brief, regular training support operators' continued proficiency and coordination. The course improved overall preparedness and was finished without any problems.
