Brooks, ME — April 20th — Under the direction of Ryan Johnston of Maineiac Fire Training, the Brooks Maine Fire Department organized a regional training event for firefighters from throughout Waldo County. The program, which focused on coordinated operations and practical skills, was attended by crews from multiple departments. During mutual aid situations, the training focused on collaboration, communication, and decision-making on the fireground.

Participants worked through realistic scenarios that were intended to represent typical issues that small-town and rural departments encounter. Such regional training sessions aid in upholding uniform standards and enhancing agency interoperability. Departments improve working connections and guarantee a more efficient response to incidents across Waldo County by training together.
