Newport City, VT - The City of Newport Fire Department carried out a hands-on training session focused on inspecting and testing dry hydrants throughout the district, ensuring each site remains fully operational and capable of supporting fire suppression efforts.

Crews also identified any maintenance needs to keep these critical water sources reliable.

In addition to hydrant checks, firefighters took the opportunity to sharpen their pump operation skills using department apparatus.
