Hicksville, NY — April 19th — As part of the nationwide RecruitNY campaign, the Hicksville Fire Department, located at 20 E Marie St., held a RecruitNY open house. The program seeks to address rising call volumes and dwindling volunteer numbers throughout New York State. Residents participated in gear demos, saw equipment, and took a tour of the station during the event. Members gave details on the application process, response responsibilities, and training requirements.
