In order to improve their capacity to serve the community, a number of members of the Bowmanstown Volunteer Fire Company attended First Responder Autism Training on March 24.
Enhancing awareness and communication when engaging with people on the autism spectrum was the main goal of the program. According to officials, this kind of training is essential because responders must be ready to modify their approach in a variety of situations.
The agency expressed gratitude to the instructors who conducted the training as well as the Palmerton Fire agency for sponsoring the event.
