Bridgewater Crews Train on Pump Operations and Water Supply Techniques

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

Bridgewater, VT - The Bridgewater Volunteer Fire Department conducted hands-on training focused on pump operations and water movement. Engine 1 operated as the supply engine, drafting water from a portable tank, while a 4-inch line was established to Engine 2.

Crews then flowed water back to the porta tank, creating a continuous loop that allowed firefighters to practice maintaining water supply and managing apparatus coordination.

This type of training strengthens efficiency and ensures crews are prepared for sustained fireground operations.
