Crews Train on Vehicle Rescue Techniques in Hardwick

HARDWICK, VT — April 12th — A 45-hour Lamoille extrication training course on vehicle rescue operations was held by the Hardwick Fire Department.


Using trucks supplied by All Metals Recycling, firefighters from several departments participated in practical evolutions. Crews rehearsed patient evacuation, access, and stabilization strategies used in car crashes involving entrapment.


Realistic training scenarios, according to officials, are essential for enhancing reaction capabilities and guaranteeing safe, efficient operations during complicated events. The Hardwick Fire Auxiliary also contributed to the training by helping with logistics during the event.
