On March 11th, members of the Chippewa Township Volunteer Fire Department held a training session that focused on core firefighting skills.

Newer personnel were taught proper tactics for "hitting a hydrant," a critical activity utilized to ensure a consistent water flow during fire suppression operations. Crews also trained deploying hand lines and simulating fire assault scenarios, while some members received expertise running the engine pump.

The drill was meant to give hands-on training for firefighters of all experience levels while emphasizing critical operating skills.
