BELLONA, NY — March 20th — Fire Commissioner Paul Roe passed away quietly on March 20, 2026, at Keuka Comfort Care in Penn Yan, according to the Bellona Volunteer Fire Company, located at 110 Pre Emption Road in Bellona, New York. He was eighty-six. As a fire commissioner, Roe guided the volunteer fire company's operations for many years while serving the department and the Bellona community.


Commissioners frequently help with long-term support for emergency services and firemen, equipment planning, and funding. Roe's commitment to the fire department and his unwavering support of the community's firemen were acknowledged by department members.
