Canaan, NY - On 30th March 2026 a drill night, Canaan firefighters focused on advancing their pumping operations and driver training skills through a coordinated round-robin exercise.
Engine 3441 drafted water from a nearby stream, operated its deck gun, and refilled Tanker 3432 after it completed its water dump. Tanker 3432 participated in a tanker shuttle operation, delivering water into a portable pond. Meanwhile, Engine 3440 drafted from the portable pond and relayed water back to Engine 3441, maintaining a continuous flow throughout the exercise.
These hands-on training evolutions play a critical role in certifying personnel and reinforcing proficiency with department equipment, ensuring members remain prepared for real-world emergency operations.
