NORTH TONAWANDA, NY — March 4th — During its annual installation luncheon, the Wendelville Fire Company, located at 7340 Campbell Blvd., North Tonawanda, NY, United States, 14120, honored two members for their lengthy service. Firefighter Shawn Christman received recognition for 25 years with the department, and firefighter Randy Moje received recognition for 50 years of service. In volunteer fire departments, length-of-service awards are a custom that honors decades of community support, training, and emergency response.

Over the course of their careers, volunteer firemen frequently put in thousands of hours to keep their towns covered for emergencies. Milestones like these demonstrate the commitment needed to maintain volunteer fire service operations, according to department leaders. During the ceremony, Congressman Nick Langworthy joined department officials in honoring the two firefighters.
