LEWISTON, NY — March 10th — Chief Nick Walter and 1st Assistant Chief Jonathan Schultz finished the last inspection of the department's new Spartan 100-foot rear mount platform ladder truck, according to the Upper Mountain Fire Company. Before the equipment is put into service, the examination was a crucial stage. During structural fires, platform ladder trucks offer elevated access for aerial master streams, rescue operations, and firefighting. Additionally, the equipment will assist with complicated situations in the district as well as operations at multi-story structures.

The truck committee, which spent years creating requirements to satisfy operational objectives, served as the project's direction, according to department officials. Jack Chiappone and Colden Enterprises helped with the construction process. Members stated that once the equipment is put into use, it will increase operational capabilities and firefighter safety.
