Multi-Department Training Focuses on Fireground Organization

SANBORN, NY — March 7th — A 16-hour Code 5 Command training session on managing fireground operations and coordinating various activities during emergency occurrences was held by SVFD Inc. Chief Smith of Vigilant Fire Service Training LLC led the seminar, which examined mechanisms for assigning tasks, monitoring firefighters, and upholding responsibility during ongoing situations. Training focused on how incident command officers manage resources and keep operations organized while several tasks take place at the same time.


The workshop was attended by firefighters of all experience levels, providing both new and seasoned members with the chance to learn command methods used during emergencies such as structure fires. Attendees included members of North Amherst Fire Company and Barker Fire Department Inc., enabling departments to improve mutual assistance coordination and train together.
