SANBORN, NY — March 11th — The Shawnee Volunteer Fire Company Inc. stated that work on its new fire apparatus, which is presently being constructed at the manufacturer's factory, is still moving forward. The Spartan Emergency Response chassis has progressed through the construction process since the department's last update. According to officials, the equipment body has been painted and welded as it approaches final assembly, and the plumbing and pump systems are almost finished.
Before testing and delivery, fire apparatus assembly typically involves a number of steps, including body fabrication, wiring, equipment mounting, pump installation, and chassis preparation. Since new equipment represents a significant investment in emergency response capabilities and firefighter safety, departments frequently communicate build updates. As the vehicle gets closer to final assembly and inspection, more updates are anticipated.
