February 19, 2026 — The Hinesburg Fire Department, alongside an Essex Town tanker, provided fire and EMS coverage to the Town of Williston while Williston Fire Department crews were committed to extinguishing a fire on the interstate. As part of mutual aid operations, Hinesburg Engine 1 and supporting units relocated to ensure uninterrupted emergency response capabilities for the community during the active incident. Such coordinated efforts highlight the strong regional partnerships between neighboring departments, ensuring that coverage remains in place even during large-scale or extended emergencies. No additional incidents were reported during the coverage period.
