February 12, 2026 — Hinesburg Fire Department responded to an incident involving a tractor trailer that brought down power lines across from the fire station on VT Route 116, resulting in a localized power outage. Fire crews secured the scene while coordinating with Green Mountain Power (GMP), which responded to assess damage and begin restoration efforts. The downed lines created hazardous conditions in the area, prompting officials to advise motorists and residents to use caution.
