March 25, 2026 — Firefighters with Burlington Fire Department’s downtown B-shift participated in hands-on training focused on deploying some of the department’s longest ground ladders. Crews practiced the coordinated effort required to safely and efficiently raise the 45-foot “Bangor” ladder, along with a 35-foot ground ladder. The training emphasized teamwork, communication, and proper technique to ensure readiness during emergency operations where ladder placement is critical. These ongoing drills reinforce the department’s commitment to maintaining proficiency in essential firefighting skills.
