Niagara Falls, NY — February 25th — Two members were promoted to captain, according to the Department Lockport Firefighters. Mr. Verdugo and Mr. Bowman, two former lieutenants, were promoted as a result of their sustained leadership and service in the department. In order to keep military installations ready, fire departments assigned to them offer structural fire protection, emergency medical response, aircraft rescue firefighting support, and technical rescue capabilities. The Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station's personnel and facilities are safeguarded by the 914th Fire Department.

According to officials, the promotions honor the individuals' leadership inside the company, operational experience, and training. Captains are in charge of overseeing crews, organizing emergency response, and assisting with daily station operations and training. Captains Verdugo and Bowman received congratulations from the department for their promotions and their service.
