Lockport Firefighters Mark Retirement of Captain Jamie Keleher

Lockport, NY — March 1st — Captain Jamie Keleher retired from the City of Lockport Fire Department after almost 28 years of service, according to the Lockport Firefighters, 1 Locks Plaza, Lockport, NY, USA, 14094. Keleher began working for the department in February 1997 and held a number of positions throughout his tenure, including captain, firefighter, paramedic, lieutenant, and Municipal Training Officer. He was just assigned to the Fourth Platoon, which is referred to as the "Canal Rats" within the department.
Throughout his tenure, Keleher assisted with emergency response, provided training, and served as a mentor to younger firefighters. While assisting recently hired firefighters, seasoned officers frequently assist in directing department operations and training. As his tenure came to an end, department personnel observed his unwavering leadership and dedication to the Lockport neighborhood.
