NORTH MASSAPEQUA, NY — March 12th — At the March 2026 department meeting, the North Massapequa Fire Department, located at 1000 N Broadway, North Massapequa, NY, United States, 11758, welcomed three new members. Chief of Department Joseph G. Ferrante swore in Firefighters Joseph Pontecorvo and Brandon Jackowski as well as Fire Medic Laura Dibari. Members were present for the ceremony, which was held during the department's monthly meeting.

At the event, Company 3 Captain Louis Robustelli represented Friendship Engine Company 3, to whom all three recruits were assigned. In order to fund emergency medical response and fire control, volunteer fire departments around Nassau County depend on new members. Before becoming fully operational responders, new recruits usually finish the necessary training through department drills and the Nassau County Fire Service Academy.
