MASSAPEQUA, NY — March 12th — Two members of the North Massapequa Fire Department, located in 1000 N Broadway, North Massapequa, NY, USA, 11758, were honored by the Massapequa Chamber of Commerce for their community contribution. The chamber's annual appreciation event honored a number of first responders from the Massapequa area, including Firefighter John Gennardo of Ladder Company 1 and Fire Medic Stephanie Seltzer of Friendship Hose and Engine Company 3.

Firefighters, emergency medical technicians, and other public safety workers who support their communities around the Massapequa region were recognized in the program. In Nassau County, volunteer fire departments are essential for community support, emergency medical response, and fire safety. Gennardo and Seltzer were commended by department officials for their commitment and ongoing service.
