Fonda, NY — March 3rd — Zachary Cook, a Montgomery County 911 dispatcher, was honored by the Town of Mohawk Fire Department last month for his professionalism in responding to a serious emergency call in Fort Plain. Cook, another department member, managed the call and coordinated responding units while maintaining composure and concentration. Responders were guided during the crisis by his clear directions and communication.

By organizing police, fire, and EMS responses and helping callers until aid comes, emergency dispatchers play a crucial role in public safety.
