Perth Firefighters Respond to EMS Call on County Highway 107

Perth, NY — February 27th — On County Highway 107 in the Town of Perth, the Perth Volunteer Fire Company responded to a medical emergency. While Lake Valley Ambulance responded to provide medical care and transportation, firefighters were sent to help. Additionally, Fulton County Sheriff's Department deputies arrived to help with coordination and scene safety.


In Fulton County, volunteer fire departments regularly help with medical emergencies, especially in rural regions where fire units can frequently arrive promptly to support EMS operations. Firefighters can help patients and EMS teams during emergencies since they are frequently trained in basic life support and scene management. Fire teams cleared the area and resumed operations after patient care was finished and transportation was scheduled.
